With extensive experience and having worked within a professional bridal house before setting up her own business, Georgina brings a deep understanding of fit, structure, and the importance of every detail. Georgina's sets out to provide brides with expert styling advice at all fittings, a highly professional service and continual communication throughout the process.
Professional bridal alterations and precise tailoring
Each gown is carefully tailored to achieve a flawless, made-to-measure fit. This includes adjustments to the bodice, hemline, sleeves, and train, as well as refining proportions to complement the bride’s shape. Every alteration is carried out with precision and respect for the original design, ensuring both comfort and elegance.
Bespoke veil design and creation
Veils are individually designed to complement the style of the dress and the overall bridal look. From minimalist, modern cuts to more intricate designs featuring lace, embroidery, or embellishment, each piece is handcrafted using high-quality materials to achieve a beautifully cohesive finish.
Structural adjustments and silhouette refinement
This service focuses on enhancing the internal structure and overall shape of the gown. It may include corsetry work, boning, support adjustments, or reshaping key areas to improve fit, balance, and comfort. The result is a gown that not only looks exceptional but feels secure and supportive throughout the day.
Expert bridal styling guidance and advice
Professional guidance is offered to help refine the overall bridal look, from dress styling to accessory pairing. With an experienced eye for detail and current trends, thoughtful recommendations are provided to ensure every element works harmoniously, creating a polished and cohesive final appearance.
The Process
1.
First contact & booking
Brides are invited to get in touch using the button below to arrange the initial fitting, with advice to book no later than 10 to 12 weeks before the wedding date. This ensures time for careful alterations and multiple fittings if required. Timelines shorter than this can be achieved depending on availability but will incur a 20% surcharge.
2.
First fitting
The first fitting takes place at our studio in Nottingham, a luxury service is provided for you and up to 2 guests. During this appointment, the dress is carefully pinned, and discussions take place around fit, comfort, and any desired refinements or design changes with expert advice from Georgina. A tailored alteration plan is created and a 50% deposit made.
3.
Alterations by Georgina Louise Bridal
All work is carried out at in our dedicated workroom, with a focus on precision and craftsmanship. Each alteration is completed with meticulous attention to detail.
4.
Refinement fitting
Additional fittings are scheduled as needed to refine the fit and silhouette, or if only a hem alteration, this fitting is not required. These appointments allow for subtle adjustments and to we achieve a perfect fit.
5.
Final fitting & dress collection
The final fitting ensures the gown is perfected and ready for the wedding day. An optional professional steaming service is available to ensure it is presented in pristine condition.
